What I'm Thankful For
By Madison Adams
I'm thankful for being able to say hello to each new day,
To be able to smile when loved ones are far away,
To see everyone's smiling faces,
To get to see brand new places.
To hear voices calling out to others,
To not have to deal with annoying brothers,
I'm thankful to know what's right from wrong,
To be able to make my list very long,
have a family that will forgive and forget,
',Just so you know, I'm not done yet!
'TO be able to cry, laugh, frown and smile,
ITo have a life that's lasted me a while,
!To say hello to the rising moon,
For I know, another great day is coming soon.

don't know what I would
do. They are the best
friends I could ever wish
for and I'm lucky to have
them. Another thing I'm
thankful for is my teachers.
Without them I wouldn't
be as smart as I am now,
and I'm super thankful for
them. And one more thing
I'm thankful for is Jesus,
without him none of us
would be in this world, and
I'm very thankful for him.
Now these are not all the
things I'm thankful for.
I have lots more, but I'm
not going to tell you all of
them. But there's one more
question left. That question
is What are you thankful
for ?

There are a lot of things
in life that people take for
granted. We get so caught
up in life that we forget to be
thankful for everyday things"
First of all, I am thankful
for the wonderful people that
surround me like my family
and friends. My parents are
always supporting me no
matter what choice I make.
They help and guide me
through life. Even though
I love and appreciate them
very much, sometimes I may
forget what all they do for me.
I have wonderful friends too!
We all sit at lunch together
and converse about our days,
and what book we're in the
middle of reading. Even
though I may have just met
some of my closest friends
here at Monroe County
Middle School, I akeady fed
like I've known them forever.
Lastly, I'm thankfifl for a
safe environment at school.
Lots of children take this
for granted because most of
them have never had to be in
a dangerous school environ-
ment. I'm so thankfial that my
fellow classmates, teachers,
and I can attend school
without worrying if we will
be harmed. No parent should
have to worry about their
kid either or ask themselves
if their child is safe and pro-
tected at school.
These few things are what
I'm thankful for, but I .also
can't wait for Thanksgiving!
Make sure to remind yourself
what you have to be thankful
for because one day you're
going to wish you had it.
