Meanwhile, the Monroe County Middle School softball team finished its regular season with an 8-2 record after a 17-1 road thumping of Lamar County Middle on Tuesday, Oct. 9. The victory came one day after the C-Team Lady Dogs annihilated Byron Middle 24-0 on the road on Oct. 8. The C-Team Lady Dogs placed second in the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League's (CGMSAL) East division behind only 10-0 Gray Station. The C-Team Lady Dogs were next sched- uled to host Rehobath Road at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16 in the first round of the area playoffs.
