Page 83 July I7, 2019 Advertisement to Bid 19—272 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids: Sealed bids for the construction of the project titled: FY 2019 LMIG for Roadway Resurfacing for the Monroe County Board of Commissioners, Georgia, will be received until Thursday August 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Monroe County Board of Commissioners’ Office 3rd floor of the Monroe County Administration Building, 38 West Main Street Forsyth, GA 31029, at which time and place all Bids will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Contractor License: Bidders submitting bids must be prequalified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless it contains the Contractor's GDOT license number. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Work to Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed project titled “FY 2019 LMIG for Roadway Resurfacing”. In general, construction consists of approximately 4 miles of full depth reclamation with Portland cement, asphalt paving and striping, various patching on 5.8 miles of roadway, and resurfacing on .36 miles of roadway including striping. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a construction timeline of 180 consecutive calendar days. Plans and Contract Documents: Plans and Contract Documents are on file for review only at the Monroe County Board of Commissioners’ Office, 38 West Main Street Forsyth, GA 31029. Copies for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., and 103 West 6th Street, Tifton, Georgia 31794, Phone: (229) 388-8823, upon payment of $200.00 for each set (non-refundable). Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Award, Waiver and Rejection: Bid shall remain valid and shall not be subject to withdrawal for a period of 60 calendar days after the Bid opening, except as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. A single Bid shall be submitted for all portions of the Work. The contract will be awarded pursuant to the requirements of applicable state and federal laws and regulations. To the extent permitted by such Advertisement to Bid laws and regulations, Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid received, and to accept the Bid deemed by it to be the most advantageous to its interests. If the Contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest reliable bidder whose proposal shall have met all the prescribed requirements. The lowest bidder will be determined based on the sum of the base bid selected by the Sponsor.
