Monroe County com-
missioners unanimously
approved on Tuesday,
May 15 to a $90,600 con-
tract with Lizella-based
Ogles Construction, Inc.
to build an elevator for the
Hubbard Alumni building.
District I commissioner
Larry Evans said Ogles
Construction will be paid
out of federal Community
Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funds for the
Coloring pages and col-
ored pencils will be pro-
vided, or you can bring your
own. Recent research has
shown that adult coloring
is a form of meditation and
is beneficial to one's health!

Monroe County com-
missioners unanimously
approved on Tuesday, May
15 to subdivide seven lots
off of Estes Road.
Of the seven total lots,
four have road frontage
while the other three in
back will be serviced by a
private road.
Commissioners also
approved by a 4-0 vote
on Tuesday, May 15 to
subdivide seven lots off of
Freeman Road, ranging
in size from 12 acres to
21 acres, District 4 com-
missioner George Emami
abstained from voting.
