"Wood and
Rachael Pigg-
Wisner became
aware of a need we have
here in Monroe
County. These
two went to
work to find
solutions and
formed Unchain
Monroe.
It all came
about as Rachael
said she passed
a dog on a chainVICKI
everyday and
one day decided
to contact the dog's owner
and asked if she could help
make the dog more com-
fortable by getting it off
it's chain. To her surprise
and relief the owner, Jason
Lott, was very glad to have
some help and allowed
Unchain Monroe to step
in and put up a large dog
kennel and shelter for him.
The dog's name is
Boscoe, and Jason texted
Rachael recently and said
"Boscoe is a different pup-
py now and nowhere near
as aggressive as he used to
be. I know I have told you
time and again, but thank
you and I appreciate all
you did for Boscoe"
Jason went on to say his
experience with Unchain
Monroe was a very posi-
tive one: "We took Boscoe
in as a rescue and when
we first got him he had
anger issues with people
and no one wanted to be
around him. That be-
ing said the only way he
could be outside was on a
runner. Unchain Monroe
brought in and installed an
SMITH
endosed fence
with an extra
large dog house.
Boscoe's atti-
tude completely
changed. He is
a much happier
dog"
Catherine and
Rachael said
Boscoe is the
first of many
dogs they hope
to help. If you have a dog
you love that needs a
kennd, dog house, even
medical attention and you
cannot afford this, please
call or e-mail. Catherine
promised no judgement -
just upport and help is all
Unchain Monroe will offer.
Sunday, May 5 will be the
next work day for Unchain
Monroe setting up ken-
nds.Volunteers are needed
to do the physical work (all
over the county).
Recently my husband
and I took down a kennel.
It wasn't hard at all and
took about 30 minutes.
I look forward to seeing
Unchain Monroe grow
and see happier pets and
owners all over the county.
Financial contributions
are also needed. Unchain
Monroe is in the process
of becoming a registered
501 (c)3 non-profit orga-
nization; so your donation
