MP posted a team score of 164, besting the Bears' total of 188. Junior Gus Proctor was the Bulldogs' low medalist with a round of 37. Calen Knight fired a 40 for MP's next-best score. MP's other two counting totals were recorded by senior Dylan Steed, who was playing his final home match, with a 42 and Cannon New- berry with a 45. Three days earlier, on April 22, the Bulldogs defeated Jackson and Pike County by a 17-stroke margin with a total of 334 in a three-team match at Jackson's Hickory Hill Golf Course. Steed posted MP'S low round of 79 while Newberry recorded MP's next- best score of 83. On April 15, the MP boys finished sixth out of 12 teams at the Brick- yard Invitational at south Monroe County's Brickyard Golf Club. The Bulldogs recorded a team total of 343 in the tourney hosted by FPD. Steed posted MP's top individual score of 83. Also, on April 2, the MP boys placed seventh out of 14 teams at the Stratford Invitational at Macon's Idle Hour Country Club. Proctor had MP's best individual total of 82. Meanwhile, the Mary Persons girls golf team finished up its regular season with a tie in a nine-hole home match against Houston County at River Forest on Thursday. Both the Bulldogs and the Bears finished with team scores of 224. Lorelai Lance had MP's best score of 43. MP's other three counting scores were posted by Carrington Hughes with a 59, Victoria Vining with a 59 and Lauren Lenderman with a 63. Three days earlier, on April 22, the Lady Dogs edged Pike County by two strokes in a three-team match that also included Jackson at Hickory Hill Golf Course. The MP girls recorded a team total of 319 as Vining posted MP's best individual score of 104. On April 8, the Lady Dogs fired a *" team total of 321 at the Bear Invi- tational at Southem Landings Golf : Club in Warner Robins. Carrington , Hughes recorded her first sub-100 round of the year while posting a team-best 96. Other MP counting scores were recorded by Lenderman .a, with a 109 and Vining with a 116. The MP boys and girls golf teams :, were next scheduled to compete in .:'.; the Area 1 -AAAA and 2-AAAA -' championship tournament at Bull ,- Creek Golf Course in Midland (just outside Columbus) on Tuesday.
