Three Forsyth homes were
damaged by fire overnight on
Thursday, March 29, and ar-
son is suspected in at least two
of them. But officials aren't in
total agreement about what
caused the third fire. All the
homes were vacant at the time
and no one was injured.

MEMBERS OF NEW PROVIDENCE BAPTIST CHURCH AND Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Smarr joined together for their annual Cross Walk be-
tween the two churches on Good Friday. Members sang hymns and took turns carrying the cross as they re-created the walk that Jesus Christ made to
the cross before He was crucified. The Bible says he rose from the dead the following Sunday, which is celebrated with Easter. (Photo by Will Davis)
