ear Friends,
When I travel abroad for
any length of time, despite my
adventurous nature, the first
thing I grow to miss is the taste of home.
Through the years I have often visited
Hard Rock Cafes in foreign cit-
ies. I stop in not just for the loud
familiar music, but for "The Pig"
Sandwich.
It is a good Old Fashion Pulled
Pork BBQ sandwich. It reminds
me of Georgia, my home. It also
is my favorite food outside of
Buffalo wings.
I have always been fond of
Hard Rock's motto, "Love All
- Serve All" While I know it
was not selected because of its
Christian nature, it does say a
lot about the message of Jesus
Christ. What is the greatest command-
ment? To love God with all of your heart,
soul and mind. Jesus tells us the second
greatest command is like the first, "to love
your neighbor as yourself.
With that in mind I view Hard Rock's
famous motto as a reminder to me as I
serve God. I should offer love to all, and
this offering of love is service to all. My of-
fering of Love should not only be to those
people, circumstances and things that I
would like to see more of, but equally to
those people, circumstances and things
that I may not prefer or to those who I
may not interact with regularly.
Divine Love is at the core of all choices,
all things.
"Love all, serve all" should be at the cen-
ter of every Spiritual Heart. I have discov-
ered that I am closest to my creator when
I follow this motto. I feel most complete
when I serve God through uncondition-

whom we share love. We love those who
are like us. Those who value what we April 7
value. Those who hold the same opinion
as well do. Those who view the
world as we do. We usually limit
our love to those who love us.
It is a good thing that God's
ways are not our ways. Romans
5:8 tell us "God proves His love
for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us."
I am so glad He did and does.
As Christians we are known as St. Peter's
"little Christs". We are to reflect
the ways of Christ. We are to love
as he first loved us.
We all know this. We even say
we believe it. Yet most of us do
o.m.
not freely do it. We love with limitations.
We love with conditions, which makes me April 8-10
question love.
Have we diminished its true meaning?
If we are honest, do we tend to substi-
tute the word "love" for what in reality is
"prefer"?
