Helen McBride Bishop April 29, 1933 - March 3, 2019 Mrs. Helen McBride Bishop, age 85, of Culloden, for- merly of Swainsboro, died on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder W H. Durrence officiat- ing. Interment followed at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum. Pallbearers were: Chester Grant, J. BL IOP B. Haygood, Dean Darden, John Pier- son, Sam Mize and A1 Abercrombie. Mrs. Bishop was born April 29, 1933 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, Ga. to the late Perry and Julia Beasley McBride. She was employed bythe Swai sboro High School as secretary to the prIncipal for many years and retired from Southeast Bulloch High School in States- be)re. Mrs. Bishop was a member of Sharon Primitive Baptist Church in Culloden and devotedly served along beside her husband in the ministry for 40 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Rudolph "Dec" McBride (Evelyn). Survivors include her husband of 68 years: William A. Bishop of Culloden; one son: William Perry Bishop (Lacey) of Swainsboro;, one grandson: Clay Price (Amanda) of Savannah; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
