Mary Persons is searching
for a new band director after
Eric Thompson resigned after
six years at the helm.
Thompson announced on
his Facebook page on
Feb. 11 that he and
his wife Dory,
who married in
plan to move to Kansas at the end of
the 2018-19 school year as Dory has
been hired as the Assistant Director of
Assessment at Kansas State University.
Thompson said he has been awarded
a full scholarship to pursue a Master's
degree in Music Education at Kansas
State as well. Thompson wrote that his
Master's will focus on conducting and
includes a teaching assistantship to
work with the Kansas State band.

a fist fight with a suspect on
Feb. 13.
