130 Years in Business
Castleberry Drug
Company began in 1888
as a drug store owned
by Dr. O.C. Collins;
Oliver Morse bought the
store in 1910. Upon his
death, his brother-in-
law, Ashley Phinazee ran
the store. In 1930 Jeptha
Castleberry became a
partner and it became
Phinazee-Castleberry
Drug Co. When Jeptha
died, the Castleberry
family took over the Lee
Street store. A new store
was built at 67 N. Lee
Street in January 1974. In
2018 the pharmacy was
sold tO to Jonathan
Marquess. Although
Castleberry has a new
owner, customers enjoy
the same great service
and a friendly staff is al-
ways ready to assist with
any pharmacy needs.
