Chicago couple arrested after drugs located during 1-75 stop A 27-year-old white man and a 27-year-old white woman, both of Chicago, Ill were each arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after drugs were found in their vehicle during a traffic stop on 1-75 South on Dec. 29. Colvard smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and also saw an orange medicine bottle containing marijuana on the driver side door. Colvard found a clear plastic bag containing suspected "Molly" inside the center console as well as a clear plastic bag containing mari- juana inside the glove compartment. Colvard also found a medicine bottle containing mari- juana in the driver's book bag on the back seat as well as a clear plastic bag of orange pills, a marijuana grind- er, a smoking pipe and a red and green container with wax marijuana. He also found two vape pins used to smoke wax mari- juana on the front seats. Both the driver and his female passenger were both arrested and taken to the Monroe County Jail. The driver was also charged with speeding, possession of drug relat- ed objects, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act and pos- session of marijuana.
