GA 31.208, January 8, 2020 JUST THE WAY IT IS by Sloan Oliver Whose side are they on? uring the 1990’s and early 2000’s, Osama bin Laden planned terrorist attacks that killed thousands of people around the world. In 2011, President Obama gave the order to send the Navy SEALS into Pakistan to kill bin Laden, the world’s most wanted terrorist. The country celebrated bin r Laden’s death, Dems praised Obama for the mission’s suc- cess, and President Obama lauded himself. The SEALS were rightftu called heroes. Now in 2020, President Trump made an identical decision to take out the world’s most dangerous terrorist, and the Democrats’ true colors have emerged. Those colors are an ugly red over their hatred of Trump and bright green with envy over 1110 decisive leader ship. Trump Derangement Syndrome has the Dems, the media, academia, Hol- lywood, and liberals (known as the leftist cabal) frothing at the mouth as they have sided with Islamic terrorists. Proof that the leftist cabal has sided with the enemy is their reaction to the killing of Gen— eral Qassim Soleimani, Iran’s deceased terror commander. Instead of celebrating Solei- mani’s death and cheering Trump’s leadership, the leftist cabal came out howling, screaming, and gnashing their teeth at Trump’s deci- sion to kill the terror leader. WHO WAS Soleimani and why does it matter that he’s room temperature? Soleimani was Islam’s most dangerous terrorist. He was a bad dude. He was head of Iran’s Quds Forces, a combination of our Special Forces and CIA intelli- gence gathering and direct action. For years, Soleimani planned attacks throughout the Middle East that resulted in thousands of deaths. He’s responsible for the deaths . of hundreds of US. military from IEDs, weapons, and training he provided to ter- ror groups throughout the region. Under Soleimani, Quds supported Hezbollah in Lebanon to attack Israel, expanded their presence in Syria and Iraq, and support- ed Houthi rebels in Yemen. Soleimani planned the 2012 attack on the US. consulate in Benghazi that killed four Americans. (Obama and Hillary lied and said a You~ tube video was responsible for that attack.) A retired US. Army general said, “this man (Soleimani) was responsible for every death and major injury we had in our brigade in Baghdad.” SOLEIMANI WAS killed in Iraq on Jan. 3, two days after Iranian backed militia attacked the US. embassy in Baghdad His presence in Iraq, immediately after our embassy was attacked, should be adequate proof for any logical person of his terror leadership. (Note: Hadi al-Amiri, Iran’s man in Baghdad, led the militia at- tack against the U.S. embassy in Baghdad. Turns out, back in 2011, al—Amiri was part of an Iraqi delegation that Barack Obama welcomed to the White House.) AS A former infantry of- ficer and intelligence analyst, I guarantee that every US. intelligence agency and mili- tary planners spent thou- sands of hours gathering and analyzing information to develop courses of action for the president I’m 100% certain that Soleimani was targeted a number of times over the past decade. The decision to strike was never made (drone missile strike, airstrike, raid similar to that on bin Laden, assassination are examples of options available). However, when the president received fur- l ther intel that Soleimani was planning an imminent at- tack, Trump made the deci- sion. Bravo President Trump and kudos to the military for a successfiil mission. SO KILLING Soleimani was a good thing, right? If you’re part of the leftist cabal (LC) the answer is NO — that’s because President Trump was the one who made the decision. I wish the leftist cabal’s Trump hatred wasn’t so disgusting but it is. Killing a Muslim terror— ist responsible for hundreds of dead Americans shouldn’t be controversial. However, the LC is against anything and everything {7). that Trum 4 10"“) 9 says or doe: Trump says, “Enforce the law and keep illegals out of the country.” The cabal shouts “racist” and demands amnesty. Trump says, “China is ripping us off in trade.” The LC sides with China. Trump says the economy is great; the LC claims a recession is immi— nent. Trump gives the order to kill a terrorist; the leftist cabal sides with the terrorist. FOLLOWING ARE spe- cific examples of the leftist cabal’s lunacy over the killing of Soleimani: Outside the l/Vhite House, Leftist protes- tors condemned Soleirnani’s killing and criticized Eliza- beth Warren, a fellow leftist, because she called Soleimani a “bad guy.” In Canada, sympathizers held a prayer vigil in front of the US. embassy. Actress Rose Mc- Gowan tweeted, “Dear Iran, the USA has disrespected your country, your flag, your people. We are being held hostage by a terrorist regime. Please do not kill us.” Actor John Cusack, “Trump in full fascist 101 mode — steal and lie until there’s noth— ing left and start a war. He’s idiotic, doesn’t know he just attacked Iran.” CNN’s Jake Tapper gave airtime to Trita Parsi, Iranian propagandist, so that Parsi could criticize Trump. Leftist protes— tors carried signs bearing Soleimani’s picture that read, “Murdered by Trump.” Colin Kaepernick called the attack racist. Joe Biden called the president’s decision “erratic and unstable.” (Remem- ber: In 2011 Biden was AGAINST killing Osama bin Laden. He’s that stupid.) Nancy Pelosi and the Dems didn’t praise the attack They’re upset that they weren’t notified in advance. Hey, Dems, two reasons you weren’t notified: First, you’re actively trying to overthrow the president; and second, President Trump wants to save American lives and you Dems are responsible for countless leaks of classified information, proving you’re totally unreliable with criti- cal operational information. Over the last four months, the House Intelligence Com- mittee (led by Democrats), instead of doing its job of protecting the country has been orchestrating a coup attempt. Finally, I’ve read numerous Facebook post- ings by liberals criticizing the president’s decision to kill Soleimani. Given all of these examples, whose side are the Democrats on? Not ours. MEANWHILE LAST week in Nigeria, Boko Ha- ram, a Muslim terror group, beheaded a Christian bride and her bridal party. The Dems were silent. FINAL THOUGHT: Obama could have killed So- leimani. Instead, he chose to give Iran billions to appease them. Biden agreed Sloan Oliver is a retired Army oficer who writes a weekly column for the Re- porter.
